Rhino: Zoological – Rhinos in Ancient China

We have archaeological evidence of rhinoceros inhabiting ancient China. An inscription by the last king of the Shang on this piece of bone records a hunt for and capture of rhinoceros. Similar mentions appear in other oracle bone inscriptions. Rhinoceros bones have also been excavated at Anyang, the last capital of the Shang dynasty.
